WILD, TED, CACS, BFAG, walking mountains provide challenging, earthkeeping outlets

Adi Davis / Project Manager / Website Design / Session Host

Adi Davis has been interested in the environment since she climbed her first tree.  So far in her young life, she has helped publish a book, which garnered her the Bronze award in Girl Scouts and grew organic food for the local food pantry for which she was awarded the Silver award in Girl Scouts.  In 2009 Adi was a Youth Delegate at the 9th World Wilderness Congress in Merida Mexico.  As part of Ecological, a local youth environmental group, she assisted in their efforts to reduce waste at the Homer Landfill and create awareness in the community regarding environmentally friendly habits.  Ecological recently won the Spirit of Youth Award and the Presidential Environmental Award for these efforts.  Recently she has become an avid blogger.
McKenzy Haber /App Design Wizard / Session Host
A typical teenage boy who enjoys golf, soccer, and fly fishing McKenzy helps the environment in every way he can. He is a student filmmaker, gave an opening speech at WILD9, created programs for Center for Alaskan Coastal Studies, and won the Toyota Eco car challenge for sustainable driving at 12. TEDxHomer Teens was chosen by Ashoka and Best Buy in the national competition of Technology 4 a Better World for which he was presented a Jefferson Award. An emerging social entrepreneur, his goal is to design an app for teens who want to organize their own TEDxYouth events, on his way to becoming a pro golfer

Katherine Dolma / Production Support

Born and raised in Homer, Alaska. An environmental activist since a young age, participating in beach clean ups since she could walk. At 10 she won her Bronze Award in Girl Scouts for publishing and writing a book on Women Scientists of Kachemak Bay. At 12 she won the Silver Award in Girl Scouts for her efforts in Homer's beach clean up. Traven Apiki / Production Support
For the past 5 years Traven has lived in Alaska and has quickly come to love it. Inspired by the beauty of nature and the wonderful wildlife of Alaska, Traven has grown to love everything about the environment. Traven has been highly active in his community through his school, church, and the many organizations he has become a part of. Currently he is the Alaska FFA Association Vice-President and will be attending Kachemak Bay Campus community college in the fall as a freshman.
Cassie Katski / Publicity / Production Support
Born and raised in Medford, Oregon, Cassie is one of those people who will become a crazy cat lady as she grows older. She likes to think outside the room the box is in, enjoys reading and writing, or any other way she can exercise her brain and think creatively.

Trevor Waldorf / Technical Wizard, Presentations
Born and raised in Homer, Alaska, Trevor has been goofing around with electronics for as long as his memory serves. He began building computers in grade school with his dad and has been involved in Homer's technology scene ever since, through film-festivals, web-design, and a plethora of others. Trevor has designed print media for local youth businesses and programs, such as the Homer Youth Advisory Committee and AlaskanDJ, as well as aided in technical production for the Homer Nutcracker and local film.

RJ Ginter / Live Streaming Guru

Julie Davis/ The Backstage "Mike" Gal
Airplane wrangler, holistic health advocate, organic gardener, the best mom in the world, back-stage-hook-you-up-with-a-mike gal, ready, willing and able friend, not the easiest woman in the world to live with and for a singer - a damn good ticket agent! TedX Homer Rocks!

Frank Vondersaar - Publicity / Project Support
Originally from Indiana and has lived in Homer since 1989. He is a lawyer and engineer. Frank was in the USAF from 1972 until 1986. He has a daughter, Sarah.

Bob Burns / Schedule Support
Bob was raised in Venezuela, obtained an Engineering education in New York followed by 25 years with IBM. None of this prepared him for 15 years of sailing around the world or enduring Alaskan winters. Fortunately he picked up a few project management skills that came in handy in New Zealand, engineering skills that kept a sailboat in working condition and now a desire to contribute to his adopted community of Homer.   Along the way, Bob served two years in the US Army and then helped IBM build several strategic Intelligence and Space command and control systems installed around the world
Judi Nester / Website Design Assistant / Project Support
A computer professional from the East coast before meeting husband, Bob Burns, who said “let’s quit the rat-race and sail around the world.” In 2008, after 15 years of roaming the seas and more than 50 countries, she travelled the U.S. with husband and dog looking for a place to ‘bury the anchor.’ Homer, completely captivated her and she and Bob, never left.
